I grew up in Wilmington, NC, where I was lucky to have the coast nearby to spend my summers boating, swimming and just generally wasting time with friends. I currently attend the University of North Carolina where I'm studying Political Science, Entrepreneurship and Arabic language & culture.
My purpose for creating this blog is to share my travels this summer (2011) with friends and family who might not have facebook or other means to see photos and updates. While I have a twitter and a facebook, I do a pretty poor job updating them and would rather give this a shot since I think it'll be easy to post pictures, video and anything else.
Long story short: if you don't know or don't care who I am or what I'm doing, you should probably just move along and save yourself the boredom.
Anyways...since you made it this far, I'm participating in the Burch Research Seminar in Vienna and the Balkans this summer for six weeks and then embarking on my own travels for four additional weeks. As far as I know I'll be in England, Ireland, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Italy and Spain (whew..) but who knows if I'll end up stopping by other places along the way. I'll be talking much more about my study program once it begins but in the mean time I'll just be posting pictures of stuff I think is cool.
I hope you enjoy the posts and I'd appreciate any comments so I know what is interesting and what is not (I'm already boring myself typing this).
